“We don’t want to restrict your religious freedoms in any way. Just keep your beliefs in the church.”

That was posted on a Christian’s forum on a writer’s site a while back. Other postings there said “Just keep your religion out of the ballot box” and “Your beliefs have no business outside of your own home and church.” To clarify, although it was not my thread, I asked “So, when I — as a Christian — vote for public officials, what should be my criteria for deciding my vote?” I received various opinions from “Christians shouldn’t vote because their opinion doesn’t support society’s (I mean, my) viewpoint” to “You should support the Democratic candidate because they really understand that Jesus came to feed everybody.” Someone finally got around to saying  “Your beliefs are irrelevant and should have no voice in the public square.” I countered “But yours…

The Rio Norte Line

Here are just two of many similar stories that have been hitting the news in recent years:

So Why Have Military Helicopters Been Flying Over Miami? We Explain, Plus See the Videos

Military Conducts Another Massive ‘Training Drill’ Involving Helicopters, This Time in Texas

[Note: all you conspiracy freaks out there — pay no attention to the fact that a person might easily mistake those helicopters for being black. There are NO black helicopters in the U.S. arsenal (except those in Homeland Security, the Border and Customs Department and that special ops unit in Tennessee/Kentucky — and maybe these)]

OK, so why should these stories bother us? After all, the military has to train to be prepared, right? WRONG! If this is legitimate training, the military has built simulated urban environments where they can conduct this exact same training without risking the civilian population. This is to desensitize…

A Heapin' Plate of Conservative Politics & Religion

By Tom Quiner

This is a picture of a family that could have gone to the Mall.

This is a picture of a family that could have gone to see Django at the multiplex.

This is a picture of a family that could have stayed home and watched basketball.

This family did something different. The three generations pictured above got on a bus, not the most comfortable means of transportations, and trekked out to the March for Life in Washington D.C.

Meet the Bishops. This is a family that values human life from the instant of conception to a natural death. In a culture that by and large doesn’t think about the consequences of abortion, this is a family that does.

They attended the March for Life for you and me. They marched and prayed for a whole bunch of people:

√ For our 55 million brothers and…

“What Does It Matter”?

I have been in a minor depression since the election but, what does it matter? Is it only me or is Hillary Clinton unworthy of her position? And what the hell gives with all of the liberal media fawning over this sneaky, conniving, lying bitch? Yeah I said that and if you didn’t catch my drift the first time around I’ll repeat it just for you…sneaky, conniving, lying bitch. Uh Hillary, it MATTERS to the four dead Americans and to the rest of the country.

Political Musings-At the Sunset of My Life

1-Walter WilliamsSuppose you saw a building on fire. Would you seek counsel from the arsonist who set it ablaze for advice on how to put it out? You say, “Williams, you’d have to be a lunatic to do that!” But that’s precisely what we’ve done: turned to the people who created our fiscal crisis to fix it. I have never read a better account of our doing just that than in John A. Allison‘s new book, “The Financial Crisis and the Free Market Cure.”

Allison is the former CEO of Branch Banking and Trust, the nation’s 10th largest bank. He assembles evidence that shows that our financial crisis, followed by the Great Recession, was caused by Congress, the Federal Reserve, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and was helped along by the Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama White Houses.

The Federal Reserve, under the chairmanship of
