my daughter received her voter registration card in the beginning of june. last thursday she received something else in the mail…a summons for jury duty. that was quick!
my daughter’s school held a circus yesterday. cotton candy, prizes, juggling and all of that other circus-y stuff. running through the door at the end of the day, she dashed into the kitchen and proudly announced that SHE had won the juggling contest! and because of her expert skill at this newly learned form of entertainment, her fifth grade class was permitted to sit in the first rows of seats during all of the circus-y extravaganza. she was the class hero! high fives and “Go Mary” could be heard throughout the gym! much of the evening proceeded with my budding circus star teaching the rest of the family how to juggle. (it’s more difficult than it looks but i am not that coordinated) she was “over the moon” with her achievement and i could not stop laughing and smiling. for those of you who do not have children, i realize that you do not understand. for those of you who have children, no explanation is necessary…!!!
50 is the new 30 or so they say. I sure hope not! 50 has been quite an awesome year so far. Life seems to get better and better as the years go by. I am truly grateful.
