Nets give ‘Bridgegate’ 17 times more coverage in 1 day than IRS scandal in 6 months
The Big Three networks, in a frenzy over New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie‘s traffic headache dubbed “Bridgegate,” have devoted a whopping 34 minutes and 28 seconds of coverage to the affair in just the last 24 hours.
“While routinely burying new stories on the IRS scandal, the media practically fell over themselves to start taking shots at the potential 2016 Republican presidential nominee,” said the conservative media watchdog.

A very well-written and thoughtful piece on the current Duck Dynasty controversy…
Last night, GQ released a story about Duck Dynasty that quotes Phil Robertson’s thoughts about homosexuality:
“It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
As you can imagine, everyone had an opinion about this statement, including GLAAD and Phil’s check-signer, A&E, who suspended the star indefinitely.
One of the conservative tweeters I follow — one of those Christians convinced that Obama is going to have him killed for his faith — lives for stuff like this. A Gainesville family is fighting for their childrens’ lives. Ronald and Krista Alford’s two children, Hunter and Mikayla, were born with extremely rare types of cancer. Now, seven years into fighting that battle, they’ve been hit with a new one: their children’s insurance has been cancelled, affecting Hunter’s chemotherapy. News 12’s Allison Harris brings us their story of struggle and strength. Hunter Alford is due for his next round of chemo. As of right now, his mom Krista says, he’s unlikely to get it.
“Since his insurance was dropped, we’re thinking about cancelling his chemotherapy,” Krista Alford said.
The 7-year-old, who loves playing games on his iPad, is reportedly the youngest person to have his type of cancer. Hunter has Plexiform Hishocyne Neoplasm.
